I worked 2dc, ch2, 2dc in the corners after the center pattern. My subsequent rounds were in dc to make the square larger. Finished up with a round of sc to firm up the edge.

There’s also a round of bpsc in light peach that gives the blue stitches a nice stand up ridge.
