I loved the hat I made for my mother. My sister liked it as well, so I’m going to make one for her. She requested another colour, though, and the yarn I used for my mother doesn’t come in anything suitable. So I have to go for another yarn. I’m making a test run for myself, to see how much of the yarn goes into one hat, since my sister wanted more than one colour, and the yarn I chose slowly varies the colour. I don’t want to find out that most of the hat is already finished before the yarn starts changing colour…

I’ll make my sister’s hat with a 6 mm hook, but for my own I’m using 6.5 mm. I started out with 8 mm, but that doesn’t look nice. I crocheted the first 5 rows, and with the 8 mm hook, the diameter was 12 cm. With the 6.5 mm hook, it was 10 cm.
