About Us

A-MAJOR-KNITWORK, established in 1984, sells a variety of the latest high-fashion yarns and high-quality basic yarns. Included in the inventory is a large selection of needles, accessories, books and leaflets, and buttons. The shop’s unique feature is the owners’ abilities to CUSTOM CHART PATTERNS. They can write instructions from a photo, a sketch, or a favorite sweater, and they offer individual knitting patterns based on swatches and measurements. Private classes are offered.

About the Owners

SYLVIA and DEBBIE, a mother and daughter team, look forward to sharing their passion for knitting and crocheting with you. Sylvia has been working in the yarn industry since the 1960’s, while the family lived in New Jersey. Sylvia’s mother was a fabulous crocheter. Debbie grew up surrounded by yarn, and it was natural to want to make a career out of a hobby. The two owners continue to take classes to expand their knowledge of the craft through The Knitting Guild of America, Crochet Guild of America, and The National Needlearts Association.
