I want to give some background and other information on the store. Long Tail Knits has been open since Nov. 21, 2015. I have open craft nights on Tuesday and Thursday from 6 pm to close and Fridays from 5 - 8. On the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month we have a spinning group that meets from 6 - 9. Bring your wheels and join us. I am an authorized dealer of Ashford Spinning wheels and products.

I carry Berroco, Sirdar, Hayfield (a Sirdar brand), Malabrigo, Universal, Lang and other fine yarns in the shop. I also partner with a local alpaca farm and carry a wide variety of yarns, kit projects, batts, lamb and mohair locks and roving to name a few of their items. I have Addi and ChiaoGoo needles and hooks as well as a wall full of notions. If I don’t have it chances are I can get it in. I have Neal Pottery yarn bowls.

I offer lessons for beginners to advanced in knit and crochet. We also have beginners spinning, Tri-loom weaving and rigid heddle weaving classes. We are now offering advanced rigid heddle classes for those wanting to learn how to use other fibers and materials in the warp and weft to create designer items. I have a very large table for groups and if your group is looking for a new location to hold your gatherings, please consider my shop. It is quiet, no drafts and is easily accessible from major highways. No charge for this service.
