Personal Threads Boutique was opened in February, 1993. Carolyn Lewis, the founder, envisioned extending the visual beauty of Lewis Art Gallery, our sister company, to the world of personal art found through knitting, needlepoint and quilting. Combined, it’s an incredible mix of color and art as you walk through one to the other.

Although Carolyn is no longer with us, the emphasis of always providing the very best inventory selection for our customer continues. That selection has always been a key to our long-term success. We usually have what you want, in stock.

Knitters have made us a destination shop. The friendly environment combined with an amazingly talented staff allows our customers to maximize their individual creativity with inspiration and professional assistance. Service to our customers and their needs is, and will continue to be, our primary goal.

In 2008, Julie and Joe Wynn completed construction on the building at 8600 Cass in which both the Lewis Art Gallery and Personal Threads Boutique are presently located. We are situated on one of the busiest intersections in the center of Omaha, making us convenient to everyone within the city and surrounding areas.
