My friend Liz requested a pair of mittens on string and I came up with these.

My first attempt at a knitting pattern. I was coming up with a 6x6 square for a blanket. I wanted to do something fun and yarn/knitting/wool themed and what better than a sheep.

I wanted to use up the remaining yarn from a hat I made, aahhh durango, so make a scarf to match. However, I didn’t have enough to make a full scarf, so I improvised a tippet (kind of like a cowl) inspired by the Tiny Tippet from knitonthenet.com Issue #6.

Also needed: buttons (2 larger, 2 smaller) for eyes, needle, thread
