Crochet: Baby Blanket
Yank is a little security blanket, so named because “yank” was the word my little brother used for his “blanky” when we were kids. Although his was a roughed up quilt, I wanted to create a soft, squishy crocheted version for my incoming baby girl.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque, Pixie Hat, Stocking
This simple knit hat is worked in a spiral pattern. I used Bamboo Wool because it was very soft and sturdy, but any soft worsted weight yarn will do.
Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
To make these mitts longer, simply add more repeats of row 2. To make them wider, add more ch stitches between sc stitches. (If you need help figuring this out please don’t hesitate to contact me.)
Knitting: Beret, Tam, Beanie, Toque
Lucky Clover is an easy bottom up knit hat with cute little eyelet 4-leaf clovers all over. Use needles a size smaller for a skull cap, size larger for a slouchier tam.
Crochet: Sports Equipment
My new pattern for February is a yoga mat bag made with Red Heart Eco-Ways Bamboo Wool. The design is actually inspired by my first crochet pattern the 6-Pointed Star Afghan.
Crochet: Cowl, Shawl / Wrap
To match the Manly Moebius Cowl I’ve designed a girly version. This one is worked in a similar way but at a gauge that produces a lacy, fluffy cowl with an optional scalloped edge.
Crochet: Cowl
In the spirit of January’s theme of Half-Double Crochet I’ve designed a cowl especially for the men-folk. I made this one for my brother for Christmas and immediately had requests for them from my husband and his friends. The stitch pattern is simple and the moebius construction is interesting enough to become a conversation piece. Everyone lov...
Crochet: Cowl
This is a super easy pattern made in a spiral so there is no joining or seaming. I really like the look of the reverse side of the half-double crochet stitch so I designed this pattern to showcase it but it is fully reversible and easily adjustable for length. The pattern is simple enough that it works well for men or women. To make a wider cow...
Crochet: Scarf
A butterfly lace scarf to match my Spring Butterfly Wristlets. More info here.
Crochet: Tote, Market bag (slouchy)
Two patterns for two easy to crochet bags… one is a stretchy market bag for groceries or the beach, the other is a mini mesh bag perfect for your camera, phone and wallet.
Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
A light lacy pair of wrist warmers for spring. The butterfly stitches along the sides provide a place for your thumb, your watch, or neither. Keeps your arms warm in the cool spring breeze or in an over-cooled office. You’d be amazed at how much these can warm you up!
