The Holston River flows from my home of East Tennessee to Knoxville, where its confluence with the French Broad River marks the beginning of the Tennessee River. I grew up visiting the river’s dams and reservoirs, among them Boone Lake and Fort Patrick Henry Lake, where the sample photos were taken.
