I needed a nice gift to give my son’s preschool teachers this year. It needed to be a small and quick knit with a subtle flair of style. The seed stitch is fully utilized in the gradient color changes in a deliberate fashion. The result; color change overs with texture. Any yarn can be used but I prefer to handle luxury baby Alpaca and Wool.

This pattern uses a combo of stockinette stitch and seed stitch. When combining the two different textured yarns together the seed stitch allows both the yarns to twist together creating two things: the desired look and further insulation from the heat of the coffee cup.
