This shrug is inspired by a knit one seen worn by Claire in the TV adaptation of Outlander. Initially seen when she first meets Geilis Duncan while out collecting herbs for her medical supplies. I loved the bulky and cozy look of the one she was wearing but wanted to crochet one with a similar sort of texture to it.

I put this together as fan art and as this is a new design, and i am an amateur, there may be a need for edits which I am more than happy to add.

This pattern is a vague written guideline to a freeform sort of look. This scarf is meant to look a bit uneven in stitches and yarn types. It is the perfect stashbuster project, and a good beginner pattern.
