Knitting: Scarf
I knit this to go with my Falling Leaves Hat, and posted it as a project. Someone asked me to post the pattern, so here it is. Hope you like it and sorry it took so long.
Knitting: Dress
I knit this stashbuster for my friends new baby and went a little leaf crazy. It was fun and it looks adorable on her.
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
I knit this a bit wider, longer and with longer arms than my Candle Tree Shrug. It came out a bit more comfortable and with more coverage. The arms came out a little narrow, so keep measuring as you knit the arms and adjust as you go.
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
I knit this because I needed a light, slightly dressy cover-up for a wedding. I love how this knit up with the yarn.
Knitting: Animal Toy
Good use for scrap yarn. Made this to go with the owl hat and cocoon by Teresa Cole.
Knitting: Legwarmers
A good pattern for scrap yarn. Can easily be made bigger by adding purl stitches on either side and adding owl repeats.
Knitting: Dress
I wanted a jumper and leggings set to give as a gift, but couldn’t find any in the round, so I put these together. I hope that someone else also finds them helpful. The flower motif is Sarah Bradberry’s Large Intarsia Flower Chart to which I added a stem. Happy knitting, and let me know if you have any questions as pattern writing is not my for...
Knitting: Skirt
I’ve wanted to knit a skirt for a while, but I only like to knit in the round and all of the skirts I wanted to knit involved an intarsia pattern. Then I discovered intarisa-in-the-round (thanks Ravelry!). This is my first attempt and the method I include in the pattern resulted in a very subtle line in the back, but much less noticeable than a...
Knitting: Bag - Other
I have always hated plastic and paper goody bags for kid birthday parties. They seem so wasteful. Last year, I made pouches out of material and filled them with shells, polished stones and marbles and they were a big hit, but the material was expensive. Then I saw Kara Mayfield’s leaf wristlet, and got the idea for these knit goody bags. They a...
Knitting: Hats - Other
My Son wanted a dragon hat, and I couldn’t find a pattern he liked. He loves his fish hat I made him, so this is a heavily adapted version of this great pattern. My son picked the colors and was pretty specific about how it should look, but here it is in case anyone else’s child has the same vision.
Knitting: Hats - Other
I knit this hat for the birthday of a friend of my son’s who likes light green. Hope others enjoy!
Knitting: Chart
This chart was developed for the Pastachio Swirl Hat, but I’m posting this separately in case it is useful in other projects.
Knitting: Hats - Other
Made this for a friend’s daughter. This could become a number of different types of flowers based upon the colors chosen.
Knitting: Cardigan
I’m not sure the yardage on this, as I ripped out a project I didn’t like and added yarn from there. I have never made something this abitious for myself from scatch and made it up as I went, but I am pleased with the results in case anyone else is looking for the same thing.
Knitting: Chart
Flower motif to be knit in the round, bottom up.
