Shag rugs, wood paneling, bold pop-art design.
Knitting: Scarf
Inspired by a Gilmore Girls moment, this plush scarf is just asking to be wrapped around you for a walk to Luke’s for your third coffee refill of the morning. Bundle up in chilly weather or wear it loose and lanky in the springtime. We love a three-season scarf!

This cowl style has become one of my favorites to wear. So easy to pull on, stays put all day, and adds a lot of visual interest with very little effort. Go with bold, high contrast or keep it soft and neutral - all you need is two different skeins of DK weight yarn! Plus, a simple colorwork chart to follow, even for the chart-averse knitter.
Knitting: Cowl
Break out the mini skeins and those extra bits and bobs! Simple enough for a relative beginner to have fun with changing colors, but fun enough for any skill level to whip up and wear.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
In making this hat, I set out to solve two problems for myself:

Out to Lunch Cowl was a suggestion from my mom, who said the colors reminded her of the Mr. Lunch book series by J. Otto Seibold & Vivian Walsh. I was obsessed with the series as a kid (I even had Mr. Lunch stationary, which is apparently now so “antique” it’s selling for $850+ online - yikes!) Her very accurate comment brought back such a ...

Not the Last Cowl was inspired by some of the key women of the 2021 presidential inauguration. The name comes about from a quote from Vice President Kamala Harris made during her 2020 election victory speech that has stuck in my memory, and I’m sure many of yours: “while I may be the first woman in the office, I will not be the last”.

The name of this pattern comes from Cold Spring, a small river town in Upstate New York. The Cold Spring Cowl combats the brisk cold while staying easy to tuck into a jacket or coat.
