Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This sock has been a mystery knit-along from January to February 2016, so the pattern is in clue-format (5 clues: beginning clue 0 to clue 4). The MKAL has been exciting and by far one of my most joyful experiences in this great community.

I love the ocean and water is my favourite element. So when the monthly inspirational theme for a group of sock knitters was announced as „water“, I couldn’t resist and had to create this sock :-)

This summer poncho is light and airy and just perfect to throw over when it gets chilly later in the evening. Straight lines and pure design, this is what this poncho is all about and it is therefore also perfect to display the beauty of gradient lace yarns.

“Random” is a versatile, reversible, and customizable infinity scarf that features a modern geometric zig-zag design created by simple knit and purl stitches. It is an easy project and because of the stitch pattern, there is no right or wrong side.

I’m a huge fan of knit-purl designs. So simple, but even using these two stitches you can create wonderful things and all you need is some yarn, needles and your imagination.

Lollipop is a simple, but IMHO effective pattern that easily can be varied. The pattern originally has been written for a special ball of yarn in selfstriping, bright lollipop colours. But of course you can also knit these socks in any solid colour or with hand dyed yarn.

The German word “kleinkariert” has two meanings: the first is just “small checked”, the second is “narrow-minded”. Maybe that’s because people who are narrow minded think in small checks / boxes ;-) Anyway, this pattern might be kind of simple and old-fashioned / vintage knitting, but I still like it a lot :-)
