Crochet: Scarf
Let’s ripple! This pattern takes a crochet standard and gives it a Tunisian twist for a scarf with beautiful drape and texture. A one-row repeat using basic Tunisian stitches and techniques makes this a great “next” project for new Tunisian crocheters.
Crochet: Scarf
This open, lacy scarf uses only two stitches - Tunisian shell and Tunisian twisted stitch. It looks great in any weight yarn; just adjust your hook size to match your yarn. Since only 17 stitches are worked at a time, a regular crochet hook (without a thumb rest) can be used in place of the Tunisian hook.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This soft, elegant Tunisian shawl is worked from the point up using only 2 stitches - Tunisian Simple and Tunisian Purl. A matched set of increases creates the triangle shape, with a change midway through the pattern producing a ‘batwing’ design that curves gently around the body, making the finished shawl stay comfortably on your shoulders.
Crochet: Scarf
Pattern updated 2/5/10. If you have the older version, please replace it with this one.
Crochet: Scarf
What to do with a small ball of expensive yarn? I wanted a thin scarf that was a little bit dressy, a little bit different. And I wanted to use every single inch of luscious cashmere, without running out before I finished the pattern.
Crochet: Mittens
This quick, customizable pattern uses less than one skein of luxurious Malabrigo to make a pair of super-soft mitts that fit your hands perfectly.
Crochet: Scarf
I love the look of knitted Feather and Fan shawls, but I’m such a slow knitter it would take me forever to finish one. So I came up with a crocheted version that has the drape and texture I loved in the knit version. This is not a difficult pattern; just be sure to skip a stitch before you start the center shell.
Crochet: Scarf
This stitch pattern makes me think of little stars, watching over us in the night sky. The scarf is worked lengthwise, beginning with a foundation single crochet (instructions included) rather than a chain row. The size is totally flexible in both length and width. Once you get the hang of the star stitch, it’s a very easy pattern to complete.
Crochet: Scarf
The quickly mastered stitch pattern in this open, lacy scarf shows off your favorite variegated or hand-dyed yarn to great advantage.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
A lacy, lightweight wrap that’s perfect for chilly spring or summer evenings. Beads in the bows add just a touch of sparkle and additional beads in the final row help weight the shawl and keep it in place.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
I created this hat for my LYS’s celebration of Knit (and Crochet) In Public Day. It’s available as a free pattern for participants in the charity knitting/crocheting challenge to benefit two local charities. If you use this pattern, please consider making a hat for charity too.
Crochet: Purse / Handbag, Tote
This easy to crochet bag - which uses only single crochet stitches - features a flat bottom (size is customizable) and sides that curve gently outward to make a roomy, fashionable bag for almost any size project. Add needle-felting or buttons for a decorative trim.
Crochet: Cardigan
My version of this cute sweater was inspired by Bev’s Hexagon Baby Jacket. I wanted something a little more ‘girly’ so in addition to increasing the size, I added a stand-up collar, and put ruffles at the cuffs and hem.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
9/27/09: Added gauge information to pattern. Gauge is very flexible on this project. The gauge I used is given as a guideline.
Crochet: Afghan block
Crochet: Scarf
I use this pattern to teach cabling techniques to beginning crochet students. It’s quick, easy and the super-soft Baby Alpaca Grande makes a luscious scarf. For an added bonus, you’ll get a different cable pattern on each side.
