Crochet: Afghan block
I use a lot of front and backpost stitches for texture in this block. There is also a treble bead stitch that need some concentration to make, but it is rewarding in the end.

This block reminds me of the sun, so I called it Letsatsi. This is the Sesotho name for the sun.

This is a 20 cm block worked in 100 % cotton, but any yarn will do. This would make a lovely baby blanket, afgan, table runner, cushion front or even a handbag front cover.

This 20cm flower square can be used for an afgan or table runner. Finish it off with a crab stitch in the round, and you can make a lovely front for a handbag or cushion cover.
