Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Who doesn’t love mini skeins? Aren’t they just the cutest things? I couldn’t help myself and had to create a festive hat that not only celebrated Valentine’s, but also could be worn throughout the winter. Feel free to play with other colors of yarn for different effects. The possibilities are endless!
Knitting: Cowl
El Panal is Spanish for “the honeycomb.” I love this knitting stitch pattern because it looks very intricate and yet is so easy to knit. Slip-stitch patterns are my favorite since they use only one color of yarn per row. This is the perfect pattern for showing off the colors of those mini skeins so many of us collect.
Knitting: Scarf
This pattern makes use of a pack of gradient mini skeins. It uses approximately 85 yards of five different colors. This fun scarf uses the Fibonacci sequence to gradually change from one color to another in a pleasing manner.
Knitting: Scarf
Hodgepodge is an easy-to-wear, drapeable scarf that can be worn for either warmth or as an accessory. It is perfect for showing off a special hand-dyed skein of fingering weight yarn.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a simple, knit-in-the round, hat pattern that uses two strands of a fingering weight yarn held together throughout to get the soft, squishy feel of this slightly slouched cap. We recommend using one skein of Greenwood Fiberworks Sublime yarn. This is a heavier fingering weight yarn that works well for this pattern.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This crescent shaped shawl begins with an easy lace edging and works in simple short rows to create a flowing and draping shawl. The shawl has a unique self-closure that gathers at the shoulder. The reverse stockinette creates delicate ridges that create a soft and beautiful drape.
