The Chowder mitt is so warm, cozy and comfortable. It reminds me of a big bowl of hot chowder on a cold winter’s day and there is no better chowder anywhere than on the Cape.

There are lots of stitches to experiment with in this wrap; from texture, to eyelet, to slipped, to cables, to twisted, you are sure to find a few new favorites! This wrap was made using 6 different colors, but you should feel free to use as many or as few as you like. The size is easily adjustable by repeating or omitting any of the sections.

This pattern was knitted up 2 ways; once with fingering weight yarn (730 yds on a size 3 needle) and once with DK weight yarn (960 yds on a size 5 needle. The DK version used a hand dyed and 2 solids. The directions are the same for both versions of the shawl.
