Knitting: Hot Water Bottle
Knit as three flat pieces using two-needles, this is a relaxing knit for an experienced knitter, or a great starting project for knitters who have mastered the basics and would like to practice a cable stitch. Knitted with a chunky yarn this project will knit up quickly.
Knitting: Mittens
A knitting pattern for a pair of worsted weight wool women’s mittens. This pattern is to fit an average women’s hand. This assumes a measurement of 19cm when placing a tape measure around the hand just below the knuckles. You may want to adjust gauge to make a smaller or larger mitten.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
In this pattern I suggest that you hold the yarn double, and it is knit in the round. Produces a very soft, classic and seamless hat.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a straight-up bloke’s beanie without any fuss! In the last few years I’ve found a repeated request from the men in my life that they want a plain beanie… So, I couldn’t ignore a knitting challenge altogether and concentrated here on fit and shaping, but kept the stitch plain!
Knitting: Beret, Tam
You will love the gentle shaping on this subtle beret which creates a gentle slouch.
Knitting: Earwarmers
This pattern is designed to give a vintage feel and look, but is straightforward to make and as a headband (rather than a turban) easy to wear.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a much updated version of my earlier Giant Pom-Pom Hat. I’ve retained the same fun large pom-pom which is made with an aran wool with a high acrylic content to keep it cheap and light-weight. The beanie, however, has been totally re-designed to take advantage of Knit Picks Palette and a beautiful double lace rib stitch.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Simple, fun, stylish, and warm… This is a new design influenced by the current craze for pom-poms, but in my signature style; using good quality yarn and finely knit.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This is a relatively simple beret with a pom-pom (optional). The pattern calls for a Scottish yarn that really complements the beret style.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Note: I’ve edited this listing to have two versions of this pattern. One is the original using Rowan Felted Tweed. The new, additional pattern is a slight re-working of this original so as to use Drops Alpaca yarn (held double).
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Knitting: Hot Water Bottle
Knitted in the round you will have only one seam along the bottom to sew up!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat has a starting place in the shape of a beanie but the envelope back lifts it slightly off the head making it more flattering for most head shapes. It also adds an interesting feature.
Knitting: Cuffs, Legwarmers
Versatile knitting pattern to make a pair of arm/leg warmers using a ‘faux cable’ pattern.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Classic beanie for wintery days. Although this is called a boyfriend beanie - it is very unisex - consider it in the same vein as the boyfriend jean!
Knitting: Beret, Tam
A slouchy hat that is knitted in the round. The pretty faux cable rib creates a pretty detail to this modern hat.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat has proven popular since its release. The hat is knitted in the round to produce a seamless design. Will suit men and women, with a deep rib to allow for a range of head sizes.
Knitting: Cowl
A simple cowl that will knit up very quickly! Uses a lovely yarn to create a soft drape. Knitted in the round.
