I will always have a soft spot for granny squares. Updating them with cleaner lines and a finer gauge makes them look more modern, and allows you to play with mini skeins and leftover bits for endless color fun!

In my house, projects get worked on (and stowed) in nearly every room, and then are taken with me when I’m out and about. I try to contain them in baskets, totes, or bags that look appealing and like they belong in the room. My ideal container sits upright and open, but is easy to grab and go.

Dots are one of nature’s simplest forms, yet once you start to play with them, you realize how infinite their possibilities are. Changing their color, size, arrangement, or density can evoke patterns both familiar and exotic. By joining them together, they become a unified tapestry reminiscent of woodpecker holes in a tree trunk, frog eggs, cor...

This frothy little number is just the thing to throw on as the seasons change from cold to warm (or back the other way), a festively bright layer of warmth for that awkward period when the calendar says spring but the temps still behave like winter. I’m always ready to abandon my thick woolies and break out my cotton dresses as soon as the cloc...

When I saw this luminous and delicate yarn (Aurora by Jill Draper Makes Stuff), I instantly knew I had to design a gossamer crochet lace shawl for it. I see so many gorgeous lace weight knitted shawl patterns, but not nearly so many in crochet. And I just knew it would be divine! So here is that shawl: Borealis.
