Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This takes the fishtail lace pattern and uses it in a sock. I could not find the fishtail lace pattern as a sock in Ravelry so I wrote my own. It has a modified cuff in the fishtail lace pattern and has instructions for a German short row heel.
Knitting: Convertible Gloves
I was looking for a pattern for convertible gloves with fingers which used bulky yarn (which is what I had on hand). Also, I did not want a pattern that required picking up stitches on the back as I wanted something which could be modified to include a design on the back. I couldn’t find one, so I wrote my own. These are knit from the bottom up...
Crochet: Bedding
This pattern uses 4 strands of worsted or aran weight yarn held together. It is a lot faster to make the cat bed with double crochet instead of single crochet. However, this bed is not as firm as single crochet. The best trade-off might be to use single crochet on the sides and double crochet for the bottom.
Crochet: Bedding
To make a solid color version of this bed, follow instructions but ignore colors for each row. Do not bind off unless you change color.
Crochet: Bedding
A member of the Specialty Purebred Cat Rescue posted a picture of a cat bed that she obtained in Turkey. I have tried to recreate this luxurious bed which is smooth on the inside and fuzzy on the outside. Therefore, the fun fur is only used on the outside of the bed.
Crochet: Bedding
This pattern is a basic crochet in a flat circle. I wrote out this pattern after trying the Crochet Cat Bed by Shawna Anweiler and finding it lumpy even after blocking. The main difference is this is not a continuous chain and it does not use eyelash. I was looking to make a fast, cheap bed for rescue cats. This bed does not need to be blocked.
Knitting: Ankle Sock, Mid-calf Socks
This is my first sock pattern. I wrote up instructions for the Men’s. The smaller woman’s size can be made by reducing the number of bramble stitches in pairs. The bramble stitch is the bit between the asterisks (*).
Knitting: Scarf
1 skein makes the mini scarf.
