Knitting: Scarf
This pattern is really a ‘recipe’ for a basic, asymmetrical scarf. It starts with a few stitches and gradually grows, with simple increases, to create a boomerang style scarf.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
My husband needed a new winter hat and I wanted to make him something with my hand spun yarn. My wool was about 12 WPI, so a worsted, almost DK weight yarn. My gauge was 6 stitches per inch, on 3.75mm (US5) needles.
Crochet: Doily
This pattern is a follow up to my Beginner Romanian Point Lace Ornament Available on Ravlery.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I wanted to make a thick, warm hat for our cold winters using wool that I had at home. I used two strands of wool and tend to knit quite tight. Gauge is for two strands.
Crochet: Hanging Ornament
The link is for a tutorial on my blog for beginning Romanian Point Lace. It is heavy with pictures and descriptions, plus a video on how to crotchet the braid. Great starter project.
