Knitting: Food Cozy
My family uses mason jars and stainless steel (Klean Kanteen) water bottles for toting snacks, lunches, and drinks. I thought it would be nice to make felted cozies for each of them. The snug jackets insulate and protect the glass jars, absorb condensation on cold bottles, and protect your hands from a hot beverage.

My two boys love playing with anything they can throw around. These Beanbag Critters are no exception. A frog, rabbit and bird are ready to fly through the air either for games or just playing catch.

Special Christmas ornaments are so fun to unpack every year. I love ornaments with special touches or surprises and these hollow knitted and felted balls with a tiny Christmas tree inside fit the bill.

This cowl is so cozy, I find it difficult to take it off. Knit with a rich blend of Alchemy Silk Purse and Mirasol Miski, this could would make a lovely gift for someone special. The pattern on the outside has just enough going on to be interesting, but it’s easy to memorize while knitting.

Mason Jars are great for toting drinks or snacks on picnics but I have broken a couple, even with careful use. This is a pattern for a knitted and felted cover for a quart size jar. It will prevent breaks and insulate the contents. A handle makes the jar easy to carry.

It’s a giant pencil and it’s a place to hold real pencils. My kids love this and like to pretend writing with it. The pencil case would also make a great “retro” gift for a geeky friend, it could also store computer cables, styluses or batteries.
