Knitting: Baby Blanket
This is a simple knit, based on the “Knit-Twist Lattice Stitch” from Barbara G. Walker’s
A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns. As the book says, “…this pattern makes a fine, sharp, clean lattice design on a knit-stitch ground.”
Knitting: Throw
This is a simple knit, based on the “Seed-Pearl Block Stitch” from Barbara G. Walker’s
A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns. As the book says, “…this subtle arrangement of tiny purl dots can be worked by any person capable of counting up to eight.”
Okay then, that works for me!
Knitting: Skirt
This is a simple wrap skirt, designed to wear over jeans or whatever you’re wearing, and under your not-quite-long-enough winter coat when the winds are howling. Or a cool summer wrap over nothing, depending on your yarn selection.
Knitting: Scarf
This is a rectangular scarf which can be knit in a variety of yarns. Jardin d’hiver means “winter garden”, which is the impression given by the light, hazy off-white sample.
Knitting: Chart
Knitting: Pullover
This is a fairly basic pullover with simple shaping and an interesting lattice-stitch border on body and cuffs.
Knitting: Tee
Easy tee, knit in the round to the armholes.
Knitting: Scarf
Here’s a pretty thing to make with one precious skein of Handmaiden Sea Silk. Make one as a gift, then (buy another skein &) make one for yourself!
Knitting: Throw
Want an easy and satisfying project that’s not another scarf? Try this blanket: deceptively simple, yet very satisfying. Use any soft yarn you’d like to snuggle under -- make it smaller for a baby blanket, bigger for a bedspread -- suit yourself.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top, Vest
Simple women’s summer tank top with interesting front neck shaping; knit flat in Colinette’s Giotto, with seamed sides and shoulders. Pattern written in one size only.
