This pattern is design for Lady Dye Yarns September Yarn Club BUT please use freely. These colors represent the colors for the Women’s Suffrage Movement (Purple, White, Gold) – Yellow can be a substitute for the gold.

This pattern is done in worsted weight yarn. It’s a very LARGE shawl. The pattern can also be done on other weights of yarn. If you choose not to use worsted weight, I recommend DK or Fingering weight.

This is a great pattern, particularly for beginners and intermediate knitters but anyone can knit this pattern. What I like about this pattern is the yarn that I chose to use. The colors are bold and it stands out in the pattern. I have tested this pattern out three times and the yardage that you will use will definitely be 440 yards.
