This is a simple pinwheel pattern ideal for anyone just venturing out on a hat that is knitted ‘top down’, or for a quick gift for someone. I used Fyberspates DK sparkle, but most DK (sport weight) yarns should be fine

This used only 50g of a Wollmeise 150g hank of 100% merino superwash (about 200 yards). Any fingering should work, and needle size can be changed to achieve tension. The colour of the yarn, Wasabi, is so apt, that I kept it for the name of the bat. I kept an element of stocking stitch at the base of the hat to show off the lovely semi solid nat...
