Desember pattern is the first Christmas pattern I designed. I however didn’t think it would turn out good enough so I decided to knit Sitkagreni and Rúdolf first. I’m so happy I gave Desember pattern a chance because I think it turned great as a Christmas Lopapeysa.

This pattern is inspired by the traditional Icelandic wool sweater. I’ve always wanted to make my own but still make it in the traditional style. I’m calling it Hey because it means hay in Icelandic and I found so much hay in the wool while I was knitting the sweater, so I thought it was a great fit!

This is the first holiday pattern! The Icelandic Santa Clauses are 13 and they don’t have reindeers but I still wanted to go with Rudolf as I thought this would be a super cute design and very Christmassy!
