I got inspired by Clara on The Guild wearing this squid hat, and I finally gave up and decided to try to make my own, as I always like a challenge! And… it certainly has been fun! :) (By the way, ObeyMyBrain on etsy is the original maker of the “squid hat”--you can see his stuff on etsy!)

I made this using Red Heart Super Soft (buff) and some brown that I didn’t have a ball band for anymore. You can use whatever colors though. This puppy is a prototype that I will probably make a second one of later, making the limbs ones that you work into the body rather than attach later, making them less flimsy. Not sure, still debating that...

This pattern is relatively quick to make, but can be tricky with beginners if you are using a novelty yarn, like boucle or something similar. Mainly because the stitches ‘hide’ behind the bulk of the yarn.
