Simple little Granny Square Gift Square. Handy to fit some candy, money, gift card into. And it’s something you can make in any color for any time of year!

Simply another way to join Granny Squares as you go, but one that I have used for years, that creates a very pretty cable along the seam you’re joining.

The pattern starts with Red doing the chain 10, at the Shoe. I forgot to add that part. :)

I used cotton because it’s soft but holds its shape nicely for this project. But any soft yarn could be used.
