Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
With a snuggly rolled turtleneck, this shawlette (short in the back long in the front) works up quickly with lots of different stitches to keep it interesting. Eyelets, braids, corrugated ribbing & slipstitch sections look great with contrasting colors or a solid with gradient/self-striping. Gauge isn’t critical - sample gauge was 24st = 4”
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I had 2 days and 2 skeins of Blackstone Chunky to make a gift - outcome this quickknit hat. Super simple knits and purls. 13sts = 4”
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
I often see new stitches (typically in a gorgeous shawl) and I am hesitant to commit to purchasing a ton of yarn before I know if I like knitting the stitch or not SOOOO I decided to design a CompliMITT (fingerless glove that would feature a pattern section for me to try a stitch). That and the fact that Frivolous Fibers had this most luscious ...
Knitting: Tee
I saw this yarn and knew I needed to do something with it, but I wasn’t sure what. I loved the stripes and wanted to make sure to control that a bit so I knit this tee with 2 rows of Uneek worsted self-striping and 2 rows of Uneek worsted Harvest. I made sure the sleeves were as wide as the panels so that they would stripe with the same amount ...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
2023 Update - I am such a fan of Ted Lasso that I wrote a book on it (Lead It Like Lasso) and to celebrate I am making this pattern free - this looks amazing in AFC Richmond colors. Whistle Whistle!
Knitting: Containers
My daughter loves to decorate her room with succulents. She will be moving into a dorm room in the fall with limited space so I thought a hanging planter hammock would allow her to still have some plants tucked away.
Knitting: Bedspread
I call this the Homage Afghan because I wanted to pay homage to all of the beautiful afghans I have seen. I know myself as a knitter and sometimes I just want mindless knitting (thank you seed stitch blocks), sometimes I want something a little more interesting (thanks honeycomb, Blythe, and miters), and apparently sometimes I want to i-cord fo...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
On size 8s, this basic fair isle design knits up quickly on dpns (or magic needles if you prefer).
Knitting: Hats - Other
Inspired by the Carbeth sweater, I thought it needed a Sidecar hat so this pattern used a single skein of each of the two yarns used for my Carbeth (designed to be DK weight yarn held double - so you would need about 250-300 yard total or about 150 yards of 2 different yarns or 150 yards of one bulky yarn to get gauge)
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This pattern knits up quickly. To have a folded brim, you will want to knit 4” but reduce to 2” if you don’t want the fold. From there the pattern consists of a band of purled rows and then knit rows with a row of added pearls in the middle.
Knitting: Vest
This drop-stitch vest is designed to be very open and loose so the smallest size will fit many. The model is 5’4” but loves the drape so there are 3 sizes available.
Knitting: Cowl
This extra scrunchy super colorful cowl is a fun sampling of fair isle and stripes.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This quick stripey sock was designed for my 11 year old daughter who just got Peek-a-Boots and needs some fun socks to show off. She also refuses to wear matching socks so I bought 4 skeins of Cascade Pacific to make fun stripes and then switch the order of the colors for the second sock. It is made from the cuff down on #5 dpns in worsted weig...
