Knitting: Decorative - Other
Named after the largest constellation, Hydra, this project is easy way to fancy up an unwanted string of Christmas lights. Knitting: Pillow / Cushion
This pillow is knit flat for the plain portions and in the round for the stranded portion. Since it involves steeking and stranded colorwork, some familiarity with both is recommended. Other intermediate/advanced aspects of the pattern are a provisional cast-on, hem, and buttonholes.
Knitting: Headband
This pattern doesn’t have yarn weight information, but it’s easily adaptable to different weights of yarn. Anything that gives you a reasonably dense gauge (medium to tight, not loose) with size 6 needles should work for the pattern as written.
Knitting: Clutch
This little clutch (6.5” x 4”) can be used as a cosmetic pouch, a pencil case, or a small clutch. It’s best in a yarn with good stitch definition to show off the design and enough body to keep it from being too soft and floppy (the one in the photo was made with a cotton blend).
Knitting: Pillow / Cushion
The front of the pillow is stranded, knit in the round and steeked. The back is knit flat, but front and back are knit as one continuous piece--the only seams are the side seams. The pattern includes a chart for the stranded portion and written instructions for the rest.
