• This appliqué is worked from the center out. It is begun by working across a beginning CH and then working around the opposite side in a U shape.

• This appliqué is worked from the bottom up. It is begun with a beginning CH and then a series of different stitches is worked up the CH to form the seahorse.
Crochet: Decorative - Other
• This appliqué is worked by beginning with the body. The body is worked from the narrow end to the wide end back and forth in rows. The neck, head, and legs are added as the SC border is worked around the perimeter of the body.
Crochet: Applique / Embellishment
This appliqué is worked from the bottom of the trunk upward. After the trunk is completed, a contrasting color is joined, and the leaves are made by chaining, working back down the chain, and anchoring the leaf to the trunk with a slip stitch. This process is repeated until all of the leaves have been made.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
The hat is worked from bottom up. The band is crocheted in rows equal to the circumference of the hat and then seamed. The hat is then worked in the round.

Knitting: Headband
• Headband is worked as a flat piece starting and ending in the middle of the back band and seamed together when finished.
Crochet: Clutch
Clutch is worked as two flat pieces from corner to corner. It is seamed together when finished. Optional: Bag can be lined with a zippered liner.
Crochet: Earwarmers
• Headband is worked as a flat piece from corner to corner. It is seamed together with approximately two inches of overlap when finished. Optional: Two decorative buttons can be sewn near the top of the headband where the ends overlap.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
• Hat is worked from bottom up. The band is crocheted in rows equal to the circumference of the hat and then seamed. The hat is then worked in the round. The band is meant to be folded up when finished.
