I find this pattern to be my perfect gift hat. It goes well with special textured or handspun skeins, although any yarn of the right weight would be suitable. I’ve named it “anrheg” because that is the Welsh word for “gift”, and made it free because so that it is also a gift to all knitters who might want to make it.

Dwynwen is a lightweight stranded colourwork cowl, knit using one strand of merino single-ply yarn and one strand of suri alpaca lace yarn. The result is soft and snuggly, while being light enough to fold away easily. Perfect for unpredictable spring and Autumn weather!
