Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
C Is For Crescent is a crescent-shaped shawl in garter stitch, designed to show off the yarn it is made from. It would be a good first shawl or beginner’s project, using only cast-on, bind-off, SSK, slipping the first stitch of every row, and simple short rows.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I unvented this pattern based on a shawl a character in a story of mine made. (You can read the story, and all about it, and some others as well, here.)
Knitting: Drawstring Bag
I named this bag for Peregrin Took, or Pippin, who was a somewhat mischevious hobbit. I tried, with my choice of stitch patterns, to make the bag reflect that.

Knitting: Drawstring Bag
This pattern was inspired by Arwen, wife of King Aragorn and a great lady in her own right. She was the daughter of Elrond, but chose mortality to be with Aragorn all her life. The stitches used in this bag are rather Elvish-looking, to fit the theme.
Knitting: Drawstring Bag
This was named for Legolas in the Lord of the Rings, an Elf from Mirkwood, or Greenwood the Great as it was also called. I chose a leaf pattern because his name meant Greenleaf.
Knitting: Mittens
These mittens have a chart for the owl itself, and the instructions for the cables are given the way someone who does not use a cable needle works. I had to make the chart the way it is because our computer does not have the usual symbols for knitting charts, so please be patient. I think they are worthwhile, though.

“Very fair was her face, and her long hair was like a river of gold. Slender and tall she was in her white robe girt with silver; but strong she seemed and stern as steel, a daughter of kings.”
Knitting: Drawstring Bag
This pattern was inspired by Rohan and its flag, the White Horse on Green. It is one of several LotR-themed bags in my Ravelry store, but the first so far to be colorwork. It would be a good pattern for those accustomed to knitting with more than one color at a time. So far I am the only one to knit it, so if you do try it and are having troubl...
Knitting: Drawstring Bag
This is yet another in my collection of LoTR-themed bags. The cables of it are stately and dignified, looking at the same time like pillars or stylized trees --- which would fit with Rivendell.
Knitting: Drawstring Bag
This is a fairly simple bag which I designed to use up some leftover yarn I had. It is the kind of bag I think Sam Gamgee would have liked: small, green, suggesting a garden (inside out it looks like a different sort --- maybe an herb garden), and sturdy.
Knitting: Drawstring Bag
The name for this bag comes from Aragorn Elessar, also known as Strider. As a Ranger he wore green and brown, the colors of my bag. The stitches wander over it, but are not lost.
Knitting: Pixie Hat
I did make one of these once but gave it away before I had a picture of it.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This cap was made to look like the cap on an acorn.
Knitting: Drawstring Bag
This pattern can be made with any yarn and any size needle, and it’s a great way to use up some of your pretty leftovers. The weight of the yarn used determines the size of the finished object.
