Knit on the diagonal, this sweet, soft blanket will become a treasured piece by any new parents. The 6-row lace pattern is very easy to memorize (tv knitting!) and the simple garter border contrasts nicely with the vertical design.

This is an airy lace shawl, with chevron edging along one edge. It would make a lovely wedding shawl in the appropriate color!

Simple lace pattern shawl, knit in 2 pieces and seamed (kitchner stitch) together. Finished size is approximately 14” X 66” after blocking. Two skeins (220g) of light fingering is all that’s needed! If you choose a heavier weight, use more yarn and larger needles to keep the hand of the fabric airy.
