I had been meaning to write a pattern for a kid size pattern for bootcuffs ever since my stepdaughter saw me making them for my friend. These bootcuffs come together quickly and the pattern is suitable for a beginner cabler. It’s a satisfying project, especially for a 7 year old girl watching it unfold before her eyes! ;-)

Make those rubber boots snazzy! Perfect for the farmer’s market or for just looking cute down at the barn. These liners sport a knitted cabled cuff sewn to a fleece sock-type liner or insert. No more sock-suck happenin’ in your boot!

This is a super quick knit! I’ve made them for present toppers and for just sweet little fall ornaments. The beauty is, if you use larger needles and thicker yarn, the acorn will be much bigger! The pattern as written makes an acorn about an inch and a half tall, not including the loop. For fun, I used a “fuzzy” yarn for the cap.
