A perfect plucked flower with leaves and all makes up the motif of this lovely hat! There are six flowers around the hat and they’re repeated above and sway forward at the crown kissing together gently.

I started this hat using Nancy Marchant’s Aliens pattern from her book, “Knitting Fresh Brioche: Creating Two-Color Twists and Turns.” Towards the crown, I end with a feather motif because to me the overall pattern looks like feathers instead of little aliens. ;)

This pattern took me some time to write out but I wanted to make sure I got it just right because it’s so cute! Lovely rosebud motifs make up this hat’s pattern and who doesn’t want rosebuds? <3

Do you buy your own flowers? This knitting pattern is for you! It has lovely blooms surrounded by smaller budding flowers dancing up to the crown. This is an easy pattern with a rows of quick brioche between the working rows so you’ll get a nice rhythm going and you’ll be done in no time!

This brioche hat came about when I wondered how cabled lines would look within a leaf motif and when I sketched up my idea I thought why not try it? :)
