Not the same as the 100% Alpaca DKyarn. Baby alpaca is a term used for the fleece or yarn from just the first shearing of a yearling alpaca. After the first shearing, alpaca fleece contains stiff guard hairs, which should be absent in yarn labeled as baby alpaca.
