Spun at East Anglia Alpaca Mill who use bespoke machinery designed specifically for alpaca fibre to enable specialist spinning. Spun to a British style DK weight. In ravelry terms that is more like a Worsted. Needle size recommended by The Border Mill is 4.5mm/US 7 and tension is given as 20 sts per 10cm. The yarn is spun with an S twist as opposed to the Z twist of previous Bobcat Alpaca yarns.

Yarn from individual alpacas, which are featured on the lables. Depending on the animal both yardage and fineness of fibre may vary.

The yarn is undyed. “Colourways” for this yarn are the individual alpacas.
