From Browning & Wolff: from our new hand-dyed line of “Nearly Solid” sock yarns. Dyed in small batches using a technique that gives solid colors a new depth of interest.

This is a lovely yarn from New Zealand that’s perfect for sock knitting! It’s 80/20 19-micron New Zealand Merino Superwash Wool and Nylon and weighs in at 2,000 ypp. Each 100g (3.50 oz.) skein has approximately 440 yards (402 meters), enough to make a pair of socks.

It’s a High Bulking (HB) yarn that, despite being Superwash, fulls beautifully into a soft, light and fluffy wool that feels great on the feet.

It knits up beautifully on sock machines on every cylinder from the 54 on up to the 84. You can also use it for hand-knitting on roughly American size needles 1 through 3.

It’s Superwash treated so it won’t shrink, even when washed in the washer and dryer.
