100% Superwash New Zealand Polwarth Wool
437 yards/100 grams
4 ply
Soft, strong and lustrous. This wonderful wool is from the New Zealand Polwarth sheep, an old sheep breed combining 75% merino and 25% Lincoln. The fiber is similar to merino but with more sheen, so sleek, springy and lustrous. It is worsted spun from long staple fibers to produce a yarn that is silky and smooth. Good stitch definition. Ideal for socks, gloves, sweaters and items that require some strength.

Recommended Needle Size: US 1-3. Gauge (stocking stitch): 28sts x 36 rows over 10cm/4 inches on 3.25mm (US 3) needles
