Although we have listed this in weaving yarns as that was its original purpose, it is quite soft spun. It comes direct from Johnstons of Elgin. Of course just because this yarn was made for soft weaving doesn’t mean it isn’t just as good for knitting, especially when twisted up thicker…

This yarn was originally spun for weaving, by Johnstons of Elgin which means it is made from some of the worlds best cashmere fibre… but it also means it is quite tight spun, so not very fluffy, and it may be twisty..

… ideal for weaving of course, but can still be used for knitting, especially if you ask use to twist it up to a thicker more balanced yarn, if you tick the option in your basket on checkout..
