From Lancardate. The cocoons for this silk are harvested from wild silk moths but after the moths have hatched. It has a more variable and crisper feel, with a great drape making it perfect for shawls for example, and also good for weaving. The 24 fine strands fill this yarn out, helping it hang, but it is still thinner looking than a fingering weight in something fluffy like cashmere.
