This fingering weight yarn base is made from a blend of superwash Peruvian Highland wool and nylon. Heritage Sock will stand up to the test of time. Tight spin, a durable wool, and the addition of nylon make this yarn sock-strong. It lends itself well to the crisp definition needed for cables, or for a highly defined and draping lace.

Heritage Sock comes in hanks of 100g with approximately 357yds per skein. This yarn has a lustrous finish, and tends to take colorways with deeper intensity and sharper constrasts between tones.

Please do note that while this yarn base is machine washable, superwash wool tends to grow when wet. Detergent designed for commercially made clothing can be too harsh for hand-dyed colors.
