A natural cordage made from the fibers of Cassia Tora plant. The rope has a nice shine to it and is tough, crunchy and slightly hard.

This cording is made using the primitive thigh spinning method after splitting the fibers and making the cording by hands without the use of any machines.

The cording can be used for making jewelry, baskets, bags, coasters, mats, fishing lines and even for weaving.

A little information about Cassia Tora:
Cassia Tora is also known by the name, Senna Tora. It grows in tropical areas of the world. In India, the tender plant leaves and flowers are used as a vegetable, especially during the monsoon season.

The entire plant is used as a herb in Ayurveda, the ancient science of herbs. The seeds are used for making herbal teas.

I just wanted to see if I could use it for making a twine and it turned into a beautiful shiny golden colored twine with my own 2 hands. So, now it can also be used as a yarn for making fiber crafts.
