A chainette I-cord/ tricotin yarn made with polyester thread. Who knew that the sewing polyester thread could be made into a yarn!!!

July 21, 2020:
I wanted to make a cord for the gift bags which I make for my buyers. So decided to use a spare thread from my stash. That’s when I got the idea to use polyester thread for making icords.

After a few trials about how I wanted to make it, I finally loved the look of these cords and gave it a go.

While I was making them, my daughter also wanted to make some icords. It became a tug of war between us as to who will make more cords. I made 1, then she made 1…I cheated and made some while she was sleeping.

Then, we both chose some awesome names for our cords. So each one of these colorways have their own personality.

We have decided to use up all of our sewing thread stash to make these cords. This way, we can buy some more of sewing threads, lol.

I hope you enjoy these cords as much as we enjoy making them.
