Tencel is a truly stunning yarn, with a wonderfully soft feel and the most incredible, eye catching lustre. It also has wonderful stitch definition making it a perfect choice for all types of creations, from summer tops to fabulous shawls: any item that requires a yarn with a wonderful drape.

Tencel fibres are produced from wood pulp of eucalyptus trees, and are one of the most environmentally friendly fibres around. They are sourced from environmentally and socially responsible sources, use non-toxic processes to produce the fibres in a completely closed loop system, and thanks to the properties of the natural material it never requires bleach. The fibres are also moisture wicking which makes them perfect to wear next to the skin in warm weather as it means they feel cool, and are also anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.

The yarn is botanically dyed in small batches in all the beautiful colours of the rainbow and more. Each skein weighs 100g and contains approximately 400m of fingering weight (16/4nm) yarn.
