Feodosiia is produced for us by Scottish spinner with 150 years of expertise.

Every batch of raw fibre is quality-checked several times for micron, length, whiteness, and impurities. Only that fibre that meets strict standards criteria at every stage proceeds to a dye house. The production process is also inspected at every stage.

The mill where Feodosiia is made is located on the banks of Loch Leven. The water of Loch Leven is so naturally pure and soft that it helps fibres to open up and take dye wonderfully.

Fibre is dyed before it is spun. This gentle process gives a superior colour result and finished handle.

The dyes used are environmentally friendly and the water used is cleaned and returned to Loch Leven once dyeing is complete.

The traditional methods of spinning give superior results. The yarn is spun on modern mules. This means long draws for a more level yarn during spinning. Compared to alternatives, it is a slow process but yields an exceptionally rounded and voluminous yarn.
