Jacob: one of the most ancient breeds around, still retaining a double coat. With spots of color in the fleece, this breed makes a beautiful heathered fiber. Good mid durability, elasticity, and mid-high loft.

Lofty and fuzzy, this fiber isn’t merino soft, but it’s plenty soft for most applications from hats to sweaters to mittens. I find it soft enough for scarves, and this batch is definitely on the soft end of the breed.
