When you buy Knit Kit Wire by the spool, you can choose the colors you want to knit alone or together. Our 30g spools hold 50 yards of wire. Our 32 and 34g spools are generally 200’ (almost 70 yds) in length, but every once in a while you might get a 300’ spool when our wire-fleeced sheep have had a growth spurt!

A note about gauge (wire thickness): The higher the number, the thinner the wire.

For single strand knitting I recommend 30-gauge wire.

Knit two or three strands of the 32 or 34-gauge wire as one to get the strength you need.

You can combine colors or use multiple strands of the same color.

As the number of strands increases, you may want to increase the needle size as well. But there are no rules — play with it!
