A dark and stormy yarn, this alpaca/wool blend is a complex combination of black, grey, green, and blue fibers. The finished fabric will feature softness from the alpaca fibers and a good bounce/recovery from the additional wool fibers. As a single ply yarn, you can knit it at a loose gauge and allow each stitch to “bloom” or plump after blocking, or at a tighter gauge for a fabric more resistant to wear or friction. Because we haven’t plied this yarn, we recommend it for projects that receive light wear like cowls, shawls, or super soft hats. You can knit cozy cardigans at a tighter gauge as well.
